The breaking load of spliced wire rope rigging is 5 times of the working load. Spliced steel wire rope is a safe and practical special hoisting tool for lifting, shifting and carrying heavy objects. It is characterized by high temperature resistance, wear resistance, convenient use and large bearing capacity. It is used in machinery, metallurgy, shipbuilding, petroleum, port and other industries.


Splicing wire rope rigging is to split all six single strands for more than 20 cm, then bend one end into a duck egg shape, and insert the separated wire rope head in one way or two ways. After one way is braided, it is round, and after one way is braided, it is square. It can be inserted three times in sequence.


This method stipulates that the steel wire rope connecting device (commonly known as hook head) with collar is made by manually inserting and weaving six strands of steel wire rope with alternating twist fiber rope core or steel wire rope core.


The connector is made by five times of insertion, and the five times of insertion can be composed of three times of whole strand insertion and two times of reduced strand insertion. All connectors shall be opposite to the twist direction of the steel wire rope; Except for the first group, the tail ends of all rope strands inserted in other groups shall be opposite to the twist direction of the steel wire rope.


The interleaving shall be carried out by crossing one strand up and one strand down


If the steel wire rope has a fiber main core, the rope core shall be fully penetrated with the first tail end of the first group, and then the exposed rope core shall be cut off. If the strand has a fiber core, the strand core shall remain in the original strand.


If the wire rope has an independent metal wire rope core, the rope core shall be divided into three parts. Respectively: - two shares, - two shares, - two shares plus its core. The three parts shall be spliced with three staggered tail ends and passed through only three complete connectors


If the steel wire rope has an independent wire strand core, the core shall be folded inward when the first group is inserted, and completely inserted into the center of the inserting head for five complete times.


All interleaving shall be tightened firmly until it is consistent with the center line of the interleaving steel wire rope. In order to make the inserted parts smooth and round, appropriate tools should be used for shaping to make them enter the appropriate position.


The ferrule used shall match the diameter of the steel wire rope, and the ferrule clamp shall be firm.


Burrs will inevitably appear at the plug-in place. In order to avoid operators scratching their hands, epoxy resin and other materials should be used to cooperate with special soft plastic cylindrical tools (such as mineral water bottles) to pour and seal the plug-in place after the plug-in hook head is completed. Specific steps: fix the soft plastic cylindrical tool at the plug-in place with rope or iron wire, place the steel wire rope vertically, close the lower opening of the cylindrical tool to prevent the liquid from flowing out, and then pour the epoxy resin liquid into the cylindrical tool. Note: during pouring, the liquid shall be lower than the upper plane of the tool. After pouring, it shall be placed vertically for more than 24 hours to solidify the epoxy resin
