Knitting method
The steel wire rope joint adopts the plug-in method, and its plug-in length shall not be less than 20 times of the diameter, and the total length shall not be less than 300mm.
For manual inserting operation, each strand shall be inserted at least five times, and at least three of the five times shall be inserted with the whole strand. For the plug-in joint with smooth transition, the rope strand with part of the steel wire cut off can be used for the last or second insertion. (there are three times of full strand interleaving on site, with 6 strands and 18 stitches in total)
The mechanical splicing operation consists of three strands interspersed four times and the other three strands interspersed five times. (interspersed 27 times)
Weld the ends of each steel wire rope.
The rope core of the splicing part shall not be exposed, and each strand shall be tight without looseness.
The cutting head of the spliced rope strand shall be flat without obvious distortion.
Clamping method
The method of cable clamp connection is applicable to the joint connection of non hoisting steel wire rope. (use this method with steel wire rope for lifting oil roof on site)
When fixing with rope clamps, pay attention to the number of rope clamps, the spacing of rope clamps, the direction of rope clamps and the strength of the fixed position.
The fastening condition of the clamping method must be checked frequently, and the connection strength shall not be less than 85% of the breaking force of the steel wire rope.

The rope clamp pressing plate shall be on the side of the long end of the steel wire rope. The empirical method is that the spacing between the rope clamps shall not be less than 6 times the diameter of the steel wire rope. Its specifications are as follows:

3. Jacketing method
The aluminum alloy sleeve and steel wire rope shall be tightly and firmly bonded by reliable process method, and the connection strength shall reach the breaking force of steel wire rope.
The pressure sleeve material specified in the standard is 3a21h112 (this material can only be used on hoisting rigging) or 5a02h112 aluminum and aluminum alloy hot extrusion seamless round pipe. Quality certificate must be attached.
The surface of flat oval pipe shall be smooth without burr, crack, mechanical damage and other obvious defects.
Ultrasonic flaw detection shall be used to check the internal defects of the pipe, and shrinkage cavity, crack, delamination, slag inclusion, etc. are not allowed.
The specification of flat oval pipe shall match the diameter of steel wire rope and be determined by checking the table. (press sleeve method is used on site, and the diameter of steel wire rope is φ 24mm, oval flat tube (length ≈ 101mm, thickness = 11.2mm)
The joint is not allowed to be bent in use, and the service temperature is - 40 ℃ ~ + 150 ℃.
The distance L from the joint to the inner edge of the rope sleeve must be greater than or equal to 3 times the hook width B or 15 times the wire rope diameter.
The end of the steel wire rope shall not be loose before pressurization.
The joint shall be able to bear 90% of the static load of the minimum breaking force of the steel wire rope and 15% ~ 30% of the impact load of the minimum breaking force.
The center distance between two sets of rings shall not be less than 40 times the diameter of steel wire rope.
4. Wedge fixing method
The wedge block and wedge sleeve are connected so that one end of the steel wire rope bypasses the wedge, and the locking effect of the wedge in the sleeve is used to fix the steel wire rope. The strength of the fixed part is about 75% ~ 85% of the strength of the rope itself. The wedge sleeve shall be made of steel, and the connection strength shall not be less than 75% of the breaking force of steel wire rope.
The wedge cone sleeve method is usually only used to fix the steel wire rope with diameter less than 40mm.
Lead filling method
The cone sleeve lead filling method is referred to as the lead filling method for short. After the core is inserted into the cone sleeve, the end of the steel wire rope is bent into a hook shape, and then the molten lead is filled and cooled. The operation of this method is complex, and now it has been less used.
When the conical wedge sleeve is connected, its connection strength shall reach the breaking force of steel wire rope.
Pressing plate consolidation method
Pressing plate consolidation method this method is mainly used to fix the end of the steel wire rope on the lifting or luffing drum. There is a rope groove on the bottom of the pressing plate to compress the steel wire rope. During construction, first make the end of the steel wire rope pass through the end plate of the drum, then bend and close together, then clamp it tightly with the grooved pressing plate, and finally firmly fix the pressing plate on the end plate of the drum with bolts.
