How is the steel wire rope produced?

Steel wire rope is widely used in our life. It can be seen in elevators, cableways, sea crossing bridges and other places. How on earth was it produced?

First of all, raw materials need to be inspected in steel wire production, and qualified raw materials can be put into production. After surface treatment, heat treatment and other processes, the steel wire meeting the requirements can be made. After these steel wires have passed the performance test, they need to twist one steel wire into a strand rope through devices such as wire dividing disc and wire pressing net, which is only part of the final result. These formed strand ropes need to be wound around each other again through the equipment, so as to become wire ropes that meet our daily requirements and can bear high strength.

Many wire ropes are also coated with plastic before leaving the factory, which can make their service life longer. Before leaving the factory, they also need to check whether the breaking force is qualified. Only qualified products can appear on the market.
