2. If the radial wear or corrosion of the steel wire exceeds 40% of the original diameter, it shall be scrapped. When it is less than 40%, the number of broken wires can be reduced and scrapped according to the regulations.
3. The number of scrapped wires of steel wire rope for hoisting hot metal or dangerous goods by hoisting machinery shall be half of the scrapping standard of steel wire rope for general crane. In addition, in one of the following cases, the steel wire rope shall also be scrapped.

4. The whole rope strand shall be scrapped if it is broken.
5. When the diameter of the steel wire rope is reduced by 7% or more relative to the nominal diameter, the steel wire rope shall be scrapped even if no broken wire is found.

15. There is almost no sign of damage on the surface, but the interior is rusted and the gap between strands disappears completely.
16. Typical broken wire caused by bending fatigue of steel wire rope. This kind of occurs mostly in the type of point contact steel wire rope, so it is recommended to use wire contact steel wire rope.
17. The broken wire between strands or rope cores is obviously different from the broken wire at the "top" of strands due to the lack of rope core support.
