1. The contact points between strands of triangular strand steel wire rope increase, and its compressive performance and fatigue resistance are good;

2. Triangular strand steel wire rope has a large metal effective cross-sectional area. Under the same diameter and strength, the breaking force of the whole rope is about 25% higher than that of round strand steel wire rope.

3. Triangular strand steel wire rope has compact structure, smooth surface, large contact area with rope groove, good wear resistance and extrusion resistance.

4. The contact area between triangular strand steel wire rope and drum or pulley is large, so as to reduce wear.

However, triangular strand wire rope also has disadvantages, that is, poor flexibility; At the same time, due to its high rotation coefficient, it is not conducive to the use of deep well hoisting; The hemp core has small volume and weak oil storage capacity. It is easy to produce oil in the early stage and lack oil in the later stage. Therefore, when selecting steel wire rope, users should consider its use environment and equipment conditions, and choose products suitable for themselves!
