In the production of ship unloader steel wire rope, non asphalt based surface grease with outstanding lubrication characteristics is used to reduce the friction between the steel wire rope and the matching wheel groove and achieve good results. However, when increasing the oil pouring of rope closing, we still consider to avoid the possibility of dripping due to the excessive amount of lubricating grease attached to the surface of the steel wire rope, so the oil pouring of the steel wire rope is not very sufficient. From the actual tracking situation, the wear of the steel wire rope passing through the pulley section is still relatively heavy. In practice, due to the existence of deflection angle, when the steel wire rope enters the pulley or drum, its motion state is no longer a simple linear motion, but a composite motion composed of linear motion and rotary motion. This kind of movement determines that the steel wire rope has the characteristics of eccentric wear. The lubrication between the steel wire rope and the surface of the matching wheel groove is insufficient, and its appearance wear is undoubtedly more obvious. This is the main reason why the steel wire rope continues to have relatively uneven wear in the use process after using the strand and rope oil lubrication process.
