Wire rope buckle is a device for fixing wire ropes, commonly used for industrial lifting and transportation. When using and installing wire rope clips, relevant standards and regulations must be followed to ensure safety and reliability. This article will introduce the installation standards for wire rope clips.

1、 Choose the right clip

Before installing a wire rope buckle, it is necessary to first select the appropriate buckle type and specification to adapt to the diameter and tension requirements of the rope. For different types of clips, they should be installed in strict accordance with their standard operating procedures.

2、 Feeding steel wire rope

Test the quality of the steel wire rope to ensure that it meets national or regional standards and meets the requirements of the working environment. Then, before installing the wire rope buckle, pass the wire rope through one of the two head holes of the buckle to ensure that the core and outer diameter of the wire rope meet specifications, and that they are snug and perfectly aligned in the hole.

3、 Clamp for steel wire rope

When inserting the wire rope into the buckle, ensure that the rope end tolerance meets standards, that there are no defects in cutting and welding, and that there is no residual paint, dirt, and particles. Then, clamp the rope end with pliers, insert it into the opening of the clip, and move the clip to a suitable position so that the distance between it and the clip meets the requirements.

4、 Stretch steel wire rope

Tighten the wire rope until the snap ring is in an open state, then remove the remaining rivets and fully push the wire rope forward so that the strands of the wire rope are adjacent to each other. After that, clamp the other end with pliers and move the clamp over the snap to bring it into a better position.

5、 Confirm the length of steel wire rope

Ensure that the length of the wire rope meets the requirements for transportation, lifting, or application. Sufficient distance should be maintained between the buckle and the wire rope to avoid excessive compression. Please note that if the buckle is too loose, it will cause the wire rope to fall off or break, or reduce the life of the wire rope.

6、 Check fixation

After installation, check whether the clip is installed correctly. Use a drum type instrument or caliper to carefully measure the diameter of the wire rope to ensure that the snap can securely secure the wire rope.
