What should be concerned about the number, spacing and direction of wire rope clamps
1、 Section steel cantilever scaffold
Description of relevant provisions in article 6.10 of the technical code for safety of steel tubular scaffold with couplers in construction (jgj130-2011):
Clear: the unloading of steel wire rope is a structural requirement, with a nominal diameter of no less than 14 and no less than 3 rope clamps.
Note: in case of special circumstances and large frame load, the nominal diameter of steel wire rope and the number of rope clamps shall be determined according to the calculation and table lookup when the steel wire rope is involved in the stress calculation.
2、 Cantilevered operation platform
Article 6.4.7 of the technical code for safety of work at heights in building construction (jgj80-2016):
Appendix C and relevant provisions:
Clear: the nominal diameter of the steel wire rope shall be determined according to the calculation, and the rope clamp shall match the diameter of the steel wire rope. And the number of rope clamps shall not be less than 4.
3、 Tower crane
Article 6.2 of safety technical specification for installation, use and disassembly of tower cranes in construction (jgj196-2010):
So, how many rope clamps does the steel wire rope need? What is the principle of rope clamp spacing and direction? Here: "steel wire rope clamp" (gb5976-2006), which is the most fundamental basis.
Conclusion:
1. The number of rope clamps matches the nominal diameter of the steel wire rope. There are no less than 3 steel wire rope clamps of the section steel cantilever because the diameter of the steel wire rope of the cantilever is not less than 14 (generally 14) and less than 18 according to the structure. The calculated nominal diameter of steel wire rope of cantilever operation platform is generally greater than 18, so there are no less than 4 rope clamps. The final actual number of rope clamps can be checked according to the diameter in the above table;
2. Rope clamp spacing: generally 6~7 times the nominal diameter of steel wire rope;
3. Direction of the rope clamp: the U-shaped bolt of the rope clamp is fastened at the end of the steel wire rope (i.e. at the end of the rope), and the clamp seat is at the working section. All rope clamps shall be in the same direction and shall not be staggered.
