① Measurement of diameter
The measured diameter of steel wire rope for elevator can be measured with vernier caliper, and it shall be equipped with wide jaw. The jaw width shall be able to span at least two adjacent strands. Each point needs to be measured twice in the direction perpendicular to each other, and the average of the four measured values is the measured diameter of steel wire rope.
The measured diameter shall be carried out under no load and 5% or 10% of the minimum breaking load. The error range of the measured diameter should be within the allowable error range.
② Ellipticity
The ovality shall be measured according to the method described in ①.
Under the minimum breaking load of 5% or 10%, the maximum deviation in any four measured values shall comply with the provisions of 1.4.
③ Test methods for mechanical properties
The breaking load test of the whole rope shall be in accordance with the provisions of the breaking tensile test method of steel wire rope. The tensile test of steel wire shall be in accordance with the provisions of metal tensile test method.
The torsion test of steel wire shall be in accordance with the provisions of metal wire torsion test method. 3.4 non looseness test of steel wire rope
Untie one strand (two pitches long) from one end of the steel wire rope and return to the original position after closing, but the diameter of this section of steel wire rope is allowed to increase slightly.
